CELEBRATING a decade of courage, conviction and leadership,

REMEMBERING those who have fallen for the cause of change and democracy in our country,

THANKING the people of Zimbabwe for having supported and stood with the Movement and cause for change and democracy in Zimbabwe,

NOTING that the Party has entered into the Transitional Government for strategic reasons consistent with its Congress Resolutions and the Party Road Map of March and May 2006 respectively,

DISTURBED by the continued unfinished and unresolved toxic and disempowering issues associated with the Transitional Government,

DETERMINED to remain on course in the pursuit of real change, democracy, constitutionalism, national healing, social justice and the economic well-being of our people, and,

CONSCIOUS of the obligation to consult our people at all material times and to consult and engage on the sustainability and the worthiness of cohabitation with ZANU PF.

Council hereby resolves that;


1. The party implores SADC and the African Union as guarantors to the GPA, to expedite the resolution of the outstanding issues.

2. The Party shall consult and engage its structures and the people of Zimbabwe within a specified period to ascertain the sustainability and worthiness of the Inclusive Government as a vehicle for real change and democracy in Zimbabwe.

3. The Party remains firm on the need and duty for a new Constitution in Zimbabwe and restates that the people of Zimbabwe should write a Constitution for themselves, by themselves.

4. No constitution shall and should be imposed on the people of Zimbabwe including the Kariba document.

5. The time limits defined in the Article 6 of the GPA must be complied with.

6. The Party remains committed to the obligation of delivering real change to the people and that the pursuit and restoration of dignity, security, democracy, freedom, prosperity and happiness shall be paramount and imperative.
